Eyes of Desire I is the latest offering from former porn star turned feminist adult filmmaker Candida Royalle. Starring Missy, Sharon Mitchell and Herschel Savage, this video is definitely one of the better Royalle offerings in recent years. To Ms. Royalle's credit, the plot is fairly thin and mostly provides segue between well-filmed sexual "numbers." Just as in at least one of the Andrew Blake movies, the plot is about Missy house-sitting in a beautiful hillside home with a convenient telescope from which she can view the hot sex scenes occurring in neighboring houses. |
One interesting variation here is a house that she spots with a telescope of its own. Missy becomes totally engrossed in finding out who lives in that house and, ultimately, in having sex with her handsome neighbor who turns out to be an infinitely better and more creative lover than her slightly nerdy boyfriend.
This film will appeal to anyone who has ever watched or fantasized watching the beautiful but unknown neighbor. There is a delightful swell of erotic tension in the entire sequence of Missy's discovery of being observed, to her willing participation in being watched and eventual sexual surrender to her mysterious admirer. This segment of visual foreplay makes the final sexual scenes all the more rewarding. The sexual "numbers" are beautifully filmed with interesting angles. Often they go back and forth between the so-called "meat" shots and shots of the actors' faces in real passion. The editing is tight and crisp.
I was completely enthralled by the sexual "number" between Sharon Mitchell and Herschel Savage, both of whom have been stars of adult films for more than 20 years. Sharon Mitchell is absolutely stunning for any age and, at least to this critic, nothing is more exciting than seeing a mature woman in the full bloom of her sexuality.
