Estrogen levels collapse
after the birth of a child, often causing severe vaginal dryness. They
normalize when nursing is terminated.
The onset of menopause
causes estrogen levels to gradually diminish. The vaginal tissue begins
to thin out and becomes less elastic. There is less vaginal moisture
produced by the body which the woman experiences as vaginal dryness,
sensitivity, sometimes itchiness, tenderness or swelling and general
discomfort.
Stress of all kinds causes
incidents of vaginal dryness. Statistics prove that 95% of all women
suffer from occasional vaginal dryness because of stress or low estrogen
days.* Estrogen is produced by the ovaries but it is not produced at
even levels. Any woman can have low estrogen days at any time and therefore
suddenly experience a lack of available moisture before intimacy. This
applies to women of all ages, from l5 to 85.
Women who suffer from eating
disorders often have hormonal imbalance which can result in vaginal
dryness.
Women taking certain medications
such as antibiotics can affect hormonal function and moisture production
in the vaginal area. Lubrication in the vaginal area is released by
two little glands in the vaginal tract called the Bartholon glands,
(named after Dr. Bartholon who discovered them) and also through the
vaginal walls. However, when there is little moisture available the
necessary lubricating fluid is scarce. This can cause irritations and
discomfort. It is also proven that women who suffer from vaginal dryness
have a higher incident of vaginal infections
Women athletes or women
who excercise extensively often disrupt their hormonal cycle which can
result in incidents of vaginal dryness. It is advisable to use a few
drops of Very Private ®Intimate Moisture before exercising to keep
the tender vaginal tissue protected.
The Pill and the sponge

Any illness such as eating

Relationship tension
Intimate lubrication, vaginal
"wetness" enhances intimacy, sexual pleasure, orgasm, better climax, sexual
confidence and security, self gratification, closer relationship, marital
harmony, sexual fulfillment, feeling of closeness and love. Improves sexual
playfulness and lovemaking, improves excitement during masturbation for
men and women. Couples become more playful and free during intimacy.
How
To Relieve Vaginal Dryness Instantly
Very
Private® Intimate Moisture. This unique transparent formula literally
duplicates a woman's own moisture. Completely natural, it has no taste,
no scent and actually bonds with a woman's own body. Very Private®
feels so natural that "nobody knows" unless you want to share it. Very
Private® instantly provides the discreet moisture needed before and
during intimacy. It is long lasting, leaves absolutely no residue and
is safe to use with condoms. Very Private® is gynecologist tested
and approved and has already been successfully used by thousands of couples
worldwide not only to solve the problems of vaginal dryness but to enhance
the pleasure of intimacy and sexual fulfillment.
Vaginal
Dryness and Relationship Problems
Often men believe that when
a woman is not aroused she no longer is interested in him or doesn't love
him anymore. Also, many women who lack moisture before intimacy believe
that there is something wrong with them. In most cases both partners have
made the wrong conclusion. Non-response in a woman is most often caused
by a lack of available vaginal moisture due to low estrogen levels. Estrogen,
the primary female hormone which is created by the ovaries varies throughout
the life of a woman. Estrogen levels are extremely low right after the
birth of a child, they gradually diminish as the women enters menopause
until the ovaries stop producing estrogen when she is finished with menopause.
But there are other reasons for dryness: above all stress. Statistics
tell us that 95% of all sexually active women have occasional symptoms
of vaginal dryness due to stress.
Chemotherapy,
Hysterectomy and Vaginal Dryness
Over l4 million women in the
US have had chemotherapy which often causes severe dryness , especially
if the pelvic region is involved. Hormone production can be severely affected
and consequently cause a reduction in moisture, especially in the vaginal
area. Consequently, intimacy can become very uncomfortable, even painful.
Many women who have abstained from intimacy because of severe discomfort
have been treated with Very Private® Intimate Moisture
and been able to resume a normal intimate sexual life again. Very Private®
is completely safe, all ingredients are inactive. It has been tested
and approved by gynecologists and used by thousands of women to relieve
vaginal dryness instantly and enhance the pleasure of intimacy.
l 2.5 million women in the
US have had hysterectomies and/or their ovaries removed. Without ovaries
there is no estrogen production and vaginal dryness can be very severe
causing discomfort, pain, even bleeding during intimacy. In many cases,
these women cannot take any estrogen replacement therapy because of heightened
cancer risks. Many women having had a hysterectomy and/or their ovaries
removed use Very Private® Intimate Moisture and feel no discomfort
at all during intimacy. In fact, many report that Very Private® is
as natural as their own body moisture used to be. Neither they nor their
partners can feel a difference because the product is a "virtual" duplication
of a woman's own moisture. It has no scent, no taste, is totally transparent
and leaves no residue.

DO WOMEN WANT TO
IMPROVE INTIMACY?
More than 54% of all sexually
active women in the United States express a desire to improve sexual performance.
With approximately 73 million sexually active women between the ages of
l8 and 75, this equates to a target market of over 39 million women ready
to find the products that will enhance their intimate lives.
Data from the Gallup Survey
l990 also indicates a high level of interest in improving sexual performance
and enjoyment among married couples:
- 53%: sex is important in
holding marriage together
- 51%: try to make love life
romantic
- 48%: playful when alone together
- 45%: Moral about sex
- 39%: efforts to improve sex
life
- 28%: mutual back rubs or

VERY PRIVATE®
Intimate Moisture enhances the pleasure of intimacy. Couples
use it on each other. A recent test with 75 married and unmarried couples
showed that 73 out of 75 men like VERY PRIVATE® and encouraged their
partner to continue using it.
WHEN STRESS AFFECTS SEXUAL INTIMACY.
There are 47 million women
ages l8 to 39 and 26 million women ages 40 to 75 who are sexually active,
for a total of 73 million sexually active women. What do they have in
common? Stress, and two little glands located in the vagina called "Bartholon"
glands named after Dr. Bartholon who discovered them. They have but one
function: to release moisture when the body needs it, before intimacy.
The glands get their signal from the brain. However, it is extremely common
among all women that these little glands dysfunction at times. It is estimated
that 95% of all sexually active women have occasional dysfunction. This
is due to conditions of stress and/or tension such as relationship tension,
financial/business stress or just modern day life stress. Often such incidents
lead to increased concerns that "it will happen again." Stress dysfunction
is more prevalent in younger women. VERY PRIVATE® Intimate Moisture
relieves stress dryness instantly and makes the user feel relaxed and
ready to enjoy the intimate experience.
9
Ibid, U.S. Census; National Opinion Research Center 1992 Study. Why can
hormone imbalance affect lovemaking negatively?
Estrogen, which is the principal
female hormone, is produced by the ovaries.
Moisture in the vaginal area
is controlled by the production of estrogen.
The fact is that hormone levels
change throughout the monthly cycle and throughout the life of a woman.
Consequently, when estrogen levels are low, there is less moisturization
in the vaginal area. This is the reason why virtually all women experience
incidents of vaginal dryness no matter what their age. While the symptoms
are distressing, uncomfortable, even painful and can lead to tension and
misunderstandings between partners, they can easily be remedied.
Very Private® Intimate
Moisture instantly relieves vaginal dryness and feels so natural, like
a woman's own moisture. Just a few drops after washing and before intimacy
can solve the problem.
There are certain times when
vaginal dryness is most likely to occur:
. After childbirth and during
nursing
. Before, during and after
menopause when estrogen production begins to taper off. 41 million women
are in the menopause years. After menopause, the ovaries no longer produce
estrogen.
. Excessive exercising can
interfere with hormone production and cause dryness.
. Eating disorders cause hormone
irregularities and cause dryness.
. Women who've had a hysterectomy
(removal of ovaries, l2 million) often suffer from severe dryness.
. Women who've been on chemotherapy
(l4.5 million) often have severe dryness.
. Women on "The Pill or The
Sponge" may experience "loss of moisture".
. Women taking antibiotics
which destroy the lacto bacilli in the vagina thereby reducing moisture
production.
. Sensitivity to chemicals
contained in bath additives, harsh soaps or general body cleansing washes
can cause vaginitis which often causes dryness.
Very Private® Body Wash
is pH balanced to the skin in the intimate area. It is extremely mild
and soothing, never drying, and can be used all over the body for cleansing
and conditioning the skin.
This dermatologist recommended
formula is fragrance free and contains an anti-bacterial to help protect
against vaginal irritations and infections.
For
Men Only:
If your partner doesn't produce
the necessary lubrication before or during foreplay, relax, it may have
nothing to do with your sexual talents. It just might be that her hormone
levels are out of balance and not enough moisture is generated by her
body. Saliva isn't the perfect answer.
VERY PRIVATE® Intimate
Moisture relieves vaginal dryness instantly, lasts longer, feels smoother
and really enhances the pleasures of intimacy in many ways. You can use
VERY PRIVATE® safely with your condom. In fact, it makes the
"condom experience" more natural and more enjoyable. If you really enjoy
prolonged sexual activity it is advisable to use VERY PRIVATE® moisturizer
even if your partner has enough natural lubrication. VERY PRIVATE®
helps to avoid redness, swelling of tissue and irritation which often
happens to either partner during intense and prolonged sex. Because VERY
PRIVATE®has no scent and no taste,
it will not restrict any sexual preferences, including oral sex. Other
lubricants are much more limiting because they contain medicinal or other
ingredients that are not compatible with oral sex.
Many women have shared with us that they really appreciated it when their
partners were thoughtful enough to help them over their "dryness" problem
with VERY PRIVATE®. They loved being massaged with the moisture and
they loved using it on their men. One women wrote to us that her partner
brought her VERY PRIVATE® instead of flowers because he had noticed
that she had a little dryness problem. As you can see, women appreciate
if you're thoughtful and help them out, even if her problem is a little
sensitive.
Ask
Jacqui About Intimacy
If you have a question about Intimacy,
send it here
Dear Jacqui, I've just celebrated my fortieth. I'm in good health, I have three kids,
a boss that's quite demanding, parents that need my attention and a hundred
other things going on in my life. When I finally get to enjoy some private
time with my husband my body has been playing tricks on me. It doesn't seem
to respond as it is supposed to during arousal time. I don't get lubricated
enough. Could it be my age? -- Jeanine B.
The cause for occasional vaginal
dryness is most often stress. 95% of all sexually active women have occasional
stress dysfunction. Here's why. During the arousal stage the brain sends
a signal to the vaginal walls and two little glands located in the vagina
to release moisture. Under stress, the signal often misfires and is unable
to deliver its message. Consequently, there is no response in the intimate
area. Just keep your intimate area moisture nearby to get things going.
And a little relaxation over a glass of wine, some wonderful music will
also help to get your thoughts refocused on private time rather than public
pressures.
Help!
Dear Jacqui, I am divorced, fifty-seven and have a boyfriend who is quite a bit younger.
He is always ready for intimacy and we have an exciting sexual life but
I feel so sore afterwards, sometimes I can barely walk. -- Donna
It's real simple. A few drops
of intimate moisturizer before and after intimacy will do the trick. Be
sure the product you choose is pH balanced and hypoallergenic. And avoid
washing with alkaline soaps or acidic products, they will add to the irritation.
Vaginal tissue, as we get older, gets thinner and more delicate just like
the skin on your face. You need a little extra moisture in the intimate
area everyday, after washing and before intimacy.
Help
for Husband
Dear Jacqui, I am the husband of a woman I am still in love with after 21 years of
marriage but I worry if she still cares about me. In the past few years
my wife hasn't been very encouraging when I approach her sexually, and I
know for sure she's not interested in anyone else. Any suggestions? -- Peter D.
Great intimacy, whether it's
physical or sexual, is based on open communication and that seems to be
lacking between the two of you. Talk to your wife even if it feels a little
awkward at first, discuss your needs and listen to hers. Lack of clarity
between people leads to misunderstandings or worse. Communicating is the
first step to solving a problem whether it is emotional or physical. Did
you know that many women in their mid-life years suffer from vaginal dryness
which causes discomfort or even pain during intimacy? Maybe that's your
wife's condition. An intimate moisturizer can instantly solve this problem.
When lovemaking is not as fulfilling as it could be someone has to take
the first step and talk.
Soreness
after Intercourse
Dear Jacqui, Is there anything I can do after having intercourse? I often get sore
and I have quite a few bladder irritations? -- Virginia M.
As we age the skin in our vagina
literally becomes thinner and less elastic, therefore more delicate. It
is advisable to always use an intimate moisturizer before intercourse
to protect the tender tissue. After intercourse it is advisable for women
to urinate and wash with plenty of water. Be conscious of the foods you
eat that tend to cause irritations such as very spicy or very acidic foods.
On the other hand, cranberry juice (get the non-sweetened concentrate
and mix it with water) seems to be a natural protector against bladder
irritations and infections. If the discomfort continues, be sure to see
your doctor.
Vaginal
Dryness
Dear Jacqui, I have had vaginal dryness since I turned 42. It makes intercourse painful
and I am apprehensive each time my husband approaches me. When I get tense
it gets worse. What can I do? -- Lois F.
Vaginal dryness is a very common
condition that 95% of all women experience at some time in their lives.
It is primarily a result of changing hormone levels. When e estrogen levels
go down, so does the moisture supply, especially in your intimate area.
Many conditions cause lower estrogen levels during menopause and after
estrogen levels diminish gradually. Eating disorders, excessive exercising,
stress and medical procedures such as hysterectomies and chemotherapy
affect estrogen production substantially and bring on vaginal dryness
which can be very uncomfortable, even painful and raise havoc in relationships.
However, it can be treated simply and relieved instantly with an appropriate
vaginal moisturizer. But like all moisturizers for the face or the intimate
area, these are not drugs that cure dryness, they relieve dryness and
must be used daily after you wash and/or before intimacy. And they should
be pH balanced for safety.
Rashes
and Itches
Dear Jacqui, I have dry, sensitive skin especially in my intimate area? I often get
rashes and itching? -- Jeanne D.
Many women develop rashes,
itching or more serious skin irritations by using harsh or inappropriate
cleansing products for their body or intimate area. If the skin feels
taut, itchy or red and irritated after using a certain product, it is
giving you the message to stop using it. Everybody's skin has a particular
pH. It is important to understand that the pH (the balance between alkaline
and acidity) is part of protecting the health of your skin. Inside your
vaginal area the pH is about 4.7. In the intimate area outside the vagina
it is about 5.5. If you use products that are too alkaline such as many
soaps are, or too acidic and many scented bubble baths or body washes
can be, you risk destroying the normal pH range. To be on the safe side,
use a mild, pH balanced product. Millions of women get yeast infections.
However, as any gynecologist will tell you they never see yeast infections
if the pH inside the vagina is normal, only when it is out of balance.
Think of the pH as skin guards that help protect you. Avoid scented bath
additives, douches, alkaline soaps or any product that gives you an unpleasant
reaction. If you cannot find a "safe" pH balanced product to cleanse with,
it is preferable to simply use lots of water.
What
Doctors say about VERY PRIVATE®

Dear Very Private:
My experience with your product
VERY PRIVATE Intimate Moisture has been excellent. I far prefer the product
to KY-Jelly and other gel-type lubricants because it is a great deal more
natural and leaves no residue. In fact, it is the closest thing to a woman's
own natural moisture. Jacqui, you really have a great product that addresses
the needs of most mature women.
I have recommended VERY PRIVATE
to many of my patients suffering from vaginal dryness because the product
is safe and instantly restores moisturization. My patients report that
they are very satisfied with the product because it works instantly and
feels so completely natural.

Dear Very Private:
As a practicing gynecologist,
I have used Very Private Intimate moisturizer and body wash with my patients
for the past year and have been very pleased with the products. The intimate
moisturizer works much better than any vaginal lubricant on the market.
It lasts longer and does not become gummy; in short, it is more like the
bodies own natural lubrication. The body wash has worked well also being
a gentle cleanser.
In the many patients who have
used the product, I have had no allergic reactions, or complaints - even
in those with chronic allergic skin problems. In fact they all seem to
be reordering more when their supply runs out.
In general, I have found the
Very Private moisturizer and body wash very helpful at many times in a
woman's life when vaginal dryness is a big problem: after childbirth,
after and around the menopause, while on the birth control pill, after
many cancer treatments.
I have no problem highly recommending
Very Private to other physicians and patients, It has been very helpful
to me in my gynecologic practice.
Sincerely, Daryl Alexander,
MD. Gynecologist

Dear Very Private:
For myself, as well as my patients,
Very Private Moisturizing Lubricant has greatly enhanced intimacy during
these "middle years". This product takes all the pressure away from those
special times, and allows for greater comfort and relaxation.
It's wonderful to know I can
count on Very Private products to increase the pleasure and enjoyment
of being close.

Dear Very Private:
Thank you very much for the
trial bottles of "Very Private" moisturizing lubricant.
I am a practicing internist
and have used it for sigmoidoscopies, colonoscopies and for rectal and
vaginal examinations to minimize the discomfort of these, not very pleasant,
examinations.
I would have to compare it with the previously used, thicker, more viscous
lubricants in its relative effectiveness and acceptance.
I have found that it is smoother,
certainly less irritating, and much easier to clean the examined part
after the examination. Even a small amount of plain water will remove
it, whereas, with the thicker lubricants the tendency is for them to stay
longer and are, therefore, more difficult to remove, and, I think, less
comfortable for the patient.
As for its value as a lubricant,
I have, thus, found that it is in every way a superior product.
I can recommend it highly,
and thank you again for introducing me to this new and valuable assistant
for examining the interior parts of the body.
Sincerely yours,
Gerald W. Labiner MD., F.A.C.P.
